Nano brows typically last 1 to 2 years — a wide range, and aftercare is the reason. Two clients can leave the same appointment and keep their results for very different lengths of time. Here's what makes the difference.
What affects longevity
- Skin type: oily skin breaks pigment down faster (Nano still holds better here than microblading).
- Sun: UV is the number-one fader. Daily SPF once you're healed is the single best habit.
- Skincare: acids, retinol, and strong exfoliants near the brows lighten pigment over time.
- Lifestyle: heavy sweating, saunas, and frequent swimming all speed fading.
The first 7–10 days (this is where results are won)
- Keep them clean and dry; follow your aftercare ointment routine.
- Never pick the flaking — it can pull pigment with it.
- No sun, sweat, saunas, pools, or makeup on the brows.
- A little itch is normal; don't scratch.
The long game
- Wear SPF on your brows once healed.
- Keep strong actives away from the brow area.
- Book your touch-up when color softens — it refreshes both shade and shape and extends the life of your work.
Healthy results are a partnership: we place them beautifully, and your aftercare keeps them that way. Have a question about protecting yours? Just ask.
